Jamar Gayles for Phenix City District 3
“I would be dedicated to leveraging my role as city councilman of District 3 to meet the demands and concerns of the people I represent and to shape a brighter tomorrow for our community.”

OVERVIEW
I would be honored to serve as councilman of our district and I am fully & utterly committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those I would represent.
On this website, you will find information about my background, and my vision for our future.
PRIORITY ISSUES
There are many issues facing our community, but as your potential representative, I have identified several key priorities that I believe require immediate attention.
01
Empowering Our Youth
Our youth lack sufficient outlets that foster their creativity and growth. We need more programs and resources that help them build confidence, develop skills, and ensure their success. It’s time we step up as a community and provide our young people with the tools they need to thrive.
02
Animal Welfare Advocacy
The stray animal population is a growing concern in our community, and the current solutions aren’t enough. Too many animals are facing unnecessary euthanasia. We need to take action by addressing this crisis and working toward solutions that give every animal a chance at a better life.
03
Improving Infrastructure
Our district is facing serious infrastructure issues, from broken water pipes to dangerous potholes that have been neglected for far too long. These problems aren’t just inconvenient—they’re unsafe. We must prioritize fixing our roads and water systems to ensure a safer, more reliable district for everyone.
VISION & BELIEFS
I am guided by a set of core values and beliefs that inform my decisions and actions, such as:
- Equality, justice and compassion
- Accountability and fiscal responsibility
- Integrity, honesty and trustworthiness
- Innovation, progress and sustainability
GOALS
In order to achieve my vision and address my key priorities, I have set several specific goals and actions that I plan to take
Youth Empowerment
I’ll work to establish new programs and outlets for youth development, providing resources that encourage creativity, leadership, and educational advancement, ensuring that young people are prepared for future success.
Animal Welfare Reform
I’ll work to partner with local and regional organizations to address the stray animal crisis, focusing on reducing euthanasia rates and finding sustainable solutions for animal care, adoption, and population control.
Infrastructure Overhaul
I’ll prioritize repairing and upgrading essential infrastructure in our district, including water systems and roads, to improve safety, reliability, and the overall quality of life for all who call District 3 home.
